I live on Mississippi Gulf Coast and watched BP, Halliburton, Blackwater run the "recovery" and the nighttime spraying of Corexit. Because the fine depended o how much oil was "spilled" so they sank it. And I watched several friends drown in their own fluids from chemical pneumonia, though we could find no MDs who would diagnose anything that hinted at oil/chemical involvement. We had a no-fly zone and news media blackout. We were forbidden to even walk on the beach. Not to protect us but security goons patrolled it to protect the bosses. They dropped so much cash here that a decade late I tried to place ads in the newspaper for a law firm looking to sue BP for medical and death claims. The paper called me back and said NO. So please stay on their asses, Senator...I see the truth still has a place in DC, a rarity indeed. And I still see Americans that enjoy their rights but understand that those come with responsibilities. We have a duty to be participatory in our own governance.
